15 Jul Are You Ready to Scale Your Business?
Every business hits that point where they have suddenly outgrown their current capacity. They may need to hire more employees to help out or offer more products or services. Whatever area you’re looking to scale your business in, you need to make some preparations!
I have experienced this in my own businesses! WealthBuilders started out as me just teaching and speaking across the country. Before long, I needed an assistant to keep me on track with my schedule. Then, we started making a certain amount of money where I needed software to keep track of our income and expenses. If you’re ready to scale your business, keep reading!
3 Ways to Prepare To Scale Your Business
1. Consider Your Goals
In order to make sure you’re headed in the right direction, you have to pick a goal! If you want to hit a certain dollar amount in revenue, write down that goal! You could also write out your goals for new services or products you want to offer.
Habakkuk 2:2 says, “write down this vision and make it plain!” I remember when I was teaching my kids to drive, and I told them wherever your eyes go is where the cars go. If you are looking off to the side distracted by the ice cream shop, your car will crash into the media. Your life is the same way! If you are focused on the point where you want to be at, you will head in that direction. So create some goals for growth and start heading towards them!
2. Consider Your Past Failures and Successes
One of the best pieces of general advice I can give is to never make the same mistake twice. As you grow, you will make mistakes, but it helps to look back at where you misstepped in the past. Use that as a guiding post for your new ventures.
The same goes for your successes. We do things a certain way in my business because I have witnessed that they work! If something is causing you to succeed, then keep doing it!
3. Consider Your Needs
The mission of WealthBuilders is to teach and train entrepreneurs in making sense of making money for making a difference. I love teaching at seminars and conferences, but I simply can’t accept every request that comes into my office. I realized people needed to hear the teaching I had to offer them, but that I couldn’t always be there to teach them. It seemed like an impossible problem! Then, my team and I built online courses. Finally, I was able to teach in every area where I was requested but I didn’t have to be there in person!
Look at what you and your team need. When you’re looking at ways to scale your business, use these as driving points.
